Ashley Briggs, Wingspan Bar Manager at The Angel Hotel, recently won a competition as part of the Shaker Bar Masterclass at the Imbibe Show in Kensington, London.
20 contestants were challenged with making a cocktail of their choice from a random set of ingredients, and the winner was decided by a impressive panel of judges including Tim Garrat - Cocktail Trainer and Consultant for Shaker UK who has taught bartenders at some of the top Cocktail Bars in the World.
Ashley won with his interpretation of a pear infused Manhattan cocktail, which is now available on our new Wingspan Menu known as "Pear 'o' Manhattan"
As part of the prize, Ashley will be developing his cocktail making skills with a mixology course in London in September so watch this space for more exciting and unique cocktails in our Wingspan Bar...
