3 days of christmas

The Angel Hotel is definitely the place to stay if you want Christmas all beautifully
wrapped up.

From Christmas Eve to Boxing Day it will be a fabulously festive 3 days, filled with delightful fare, fine Champagne, tempting treats and wonderful traditional experiences. It’s all lined up to let you relax into a very special Christmas.

24th Christmas Eve
Enjoy afternoon tea, served with our delicious freshly baked mince pies and relax in front of the open fire in the lounge. After a little time to dress for the evening, a glass of chilled Champagne will be ready when you are. Local carol singers will then perform, while you get in tune with your bubbly. Dining will be from 6-9.30pm in our famous Angel Eaterie, where a delicious 3-course menu will be served. Then there’s a short walk to a beautiful candlelit Midnight Mass. On your return hot spiced mulled wine and minced pies will be waiting for you, before you disappear and snuggle up for a comfy night’s sleep.

25th Christmas Day

Take your time, wake to a traditional Suffolk breakfast served in your room, or join us downstairs in the Eaterie. Explore the endless cobbled streets that wind around Bury St Edmunds, or take a leisurely stroll in the beautiful gardens of the Abbey opposite. Canapés and Champagne will be served from 12.30pm followed by a 5-course culinary feast, prepared by our award-winning chefs. If you’ve saved any room, Christmas cake will be available in the lounge all afternoon. An informal buffet supper served from 7-9.30pm. We wish you a Merry Christmas! 

26th Boxing Day
Wake to the joys of another relaxing day, with Suffolk breakfast in your room, or downstairs in the Eaterie. Take a bit of time to discover more in and around Bury St Edmunds before a light lunch is served in the Eaterie at 12pm. The Pantomime at the Theatre Royal is your next destination. It’s one of the oldest working theatres in the country, so not to be missed. There will be tea and cakes when you return. Dinner is served from 6-9.30pm. After a well deserved nights sleep, breakfast in the morning will be the final treat, before we say our goodbyes.
